Samsung Eyes AI Jewelry as the Next Wearable Trend

Samsung is exploring AI-powered wearable technology beyond smartwatches and glasses, including earrings, necklaces, and rings. COO Won-joon Choi said the goal is hands-free, always-on access to AI without needing to pull out a phone.
This move follows a broader industry trend sparked by AI’s growing capabilities. Meta’s AI-powered Ray-Ban glasses have sold over 2 million units since their launch in 2023. Meanwhile, OpenAI and ex-Apple designer Jony Ive are developing a secret AI device.
Samsung plans to build companion devices, not smartphone replacements, unlike failed attempts like the $699 Humane AI Pin, which was shut down in early 2025, or the delayed AI necklace from startup Friend.
Smart glasses are coming first, but Samsung is betting on stylish, wearable AI, we not have to think that everything and anything we wear will be smart and loaded with AI, no typing or swiping required.

The U.S. Department of Defense is awarding up to $200 million in contracts to Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and xAI to accelerate the use of AI for national security.
The goal is to develop AI agents to support military operations and maintain a strategic advantage. The funding comes via the DoD’s Chief Digital and AI Office.
Notably:
xAI launched Grok for Government, a new suite tailored for U.S. agencies.
OpenAI had previously received a separate $200M contract in 2024, and recently launched OpenAI for Government for federal, state, and local use.
The move highlights growing government demand for cutting-edge AI tools amid geopolitical and defense priorities.

Uplift (AI Movement Analysis) Apple - Android - Uplift uses AI-powered computer vision (often with just a smartphone) to provide detailed 3D biomechanical analysis of athletic movements. It offers immediate feedback on form, efficiency, and potential injury risks, essentially bringing a sophisticated motion capture lab to your training environment.
Athletica AI (Personalized Training Plans) is an AI coaching platform that creates and dynamically adjusts hyper-personalized training plans for endurance sports like triathlon, running, and cycling. It adapts based on your real-time workout data, schedule, and fatigue levels, optimizing your progression and helping prevent overtraining.
HumanGO (AI-Powered Adaptive Coaching) features "Hugo," an AI coach that delivers adaptive training plans for runners, cyclists, and triathletes. It integrates with wearables and provides real-time feedback based on performance, schedule changes, and even your reported mood or fatigue, making training highly responsive to your daily life.
Pixellot (AI-Automated Sports Camera & Analytics). Its AI-automated camera systems capture and analyze games. Athletes benefit from the in-depth data and video analysis provided by coaches using these platforms, which offer insights into individual and team performance, tactics, and movement patterns across various sports.
VueMotion (AI-Powered Injury Prevention & Performance Analysis) - Leverages AI and computer vision to analyze athletic movements for performance optimization and injury prevention. It identifies movement inefficiencies and potential risks, providing objective feedback to athletes, coaches, and medical staff to help reduce injuries and optimize return-to-play decisions.

AI ‘Nudify’ Sites Are Booming and Raking in Millions

New research reveals that AI-powered "nudify" websites—which generate nonconsensual fake nude images, often of women and girls—are drawing over 18.5 million visitors per month and could be making up to $36 million a year.
Key findings:
85 Nudify sites were analyzed; most rely on Google (sign-in), Amazon (hosting), and Cloudflare (CDN) to stay online.
62 sites used Amazon and Cloudflare; 54 used Google services.
Many monetize via subscriptions and credits, with 18 sites earning $2.6M–$18.4M in just six months.
Top traffic sources: U.S., India, Brazil, Mexico, and Germany.
Some sites use affiliate marketing and even adult entertainer promos to grow.
Recently, we shared a note about copyrighting your face and body to guard against deepfake abuse. It may sound far-fetched today, but as AI-generated images become more realistic and more harmful, that kind of protection could soon become the norm. The legal fight will be tough, but taking steps now might help you stay one step ahead.
Despite growing legal action—like the Take It Down Act and lawsuits from cities and companies—tech platforms have been slow to shut these services down. Experts warn that tech giants’ inaction has allowed a harmful and abusive industry to flourish.
While some enforcement is underway, researchers urge stricter oversight from both regulators and tech companies to shrink this expanding corner of the generative AI world.
